500 Local Students registered for the 2ND Annual Bridgeport College & Career Fair
VASE MANAGEMENT

(04/25/05) BRIDGEPORT - Nearly 200 teenagers got a jumpstart on their future Monday thanks to a first-of-its kind event in Bridgeport.

Mayor John Fabrizi teamed up with the board of education and Vase Management Company to offer a college and career fair for about 200 students from Bassick, Central, Harding and Kolbe Cathedral high schools.

The four-hour event featured representatives from 16 colleges. There were also about a dozen

local companies represented; many that are starting to look for summer workers.

The teens also got to participate in workshops on topics including applying for college on the Internet, and the dos and don’ts of the interview process.
